Workshop "Let the Literary Masters Speak!" at Nagoya City Shidami Library
12/4/2025

Hosted by the Nagoya City Shidami Library, a special workshop titled “Let the Literary Masters Speak! —Experience Literature with AI ‘Humanitext Aozora’—” will be held this coming February.
“Humanitext Aozora” is an interactive AI system developed by a research team including Associate Professor Naoya Iwata (Nagoya University Center for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences), Associate Professor Kazutaka Tanaka (J.F. Oberlin University), and Assistant Professor Jun Ogawa (The University of Tokyo). The system is built upon the vast literary collection of Aozora Bunko.
In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to experience various features of this publicly available AI system, ranging from Q&A sessions about literary titles and interpretations to creative writing that mimics the styles of specific authors. It is designed as a participatory event where attendees can explore interesting ways to use the tool by crafting prompts and discussing results with one another.
We welcome a wide range of participants, from literature enthusiasts to those new to AI technology, as well as students (elementary school age and above).
