Selected for Nenone Program Weaving Visual Poetry of the Classics with AI

We are thrilled to announce that our visual project, “ANIMA ANTIQUA - Breathing Life into the Classics,” has been selected for the second cohort of the “Nenone Program,” an inquiry-based initiative at “ComoNe,” a co-creation hub operated by the Tokai National Higher Education and Research System. It is a great honor to be chosen as one of the 11 innovative projects from a large number of applications.

Reviving Ancient Wisdom in the Modern Era

This project is an experimental endeavor to bring the original texts of Western classics, such as Plato and Homer, to life through cutting-edge video generation AI. By leveraging our AI dialogue system, “Humanitext Antiqua,” we will deeply analyze these seminal works and transform their worlds into visually stunning short films. Our goal is to reconstruct famous classical scenes, often perceived as difficult, into intuitive visual narratives that everyone can enjoy.

From the philosophical inquiries of “The Last Days of Socrates” to the dramatic conflicts of the “Trojan War,” our AI will extract scenic descriptions, human emotions, and symbolic elements from the original texts. Under expert supervision, these interpretations will be converted into prompts for video generation, breathing new life into 2,000-year-old words.

Deepening Inquiry in a Collaborative Space

Our activities will take place from October to December 2025 at ComoNe, a creative space open to all. Throughout this period, we will share our production process and refine our work through dialogue with visitors. We invite you to witness firsthand how the fusion of cutting-edge technology and humanistic knowledge creates a new way to experience the classics.
