Custom Output Mode Added to Antiqua and Aozora
10/4/2025

We are pleased to announce the addition of a new feature, “Custom Output Mode,” to Antiqua, our application for Western Classics, and Aozora, for contemporary Japanese literature from Aozora Bunko.
Toward More Free and Flexible Text Generation
Until now, Antiqua and Aozora have offered output modes optimized for specific tasks. The newly added “Custom Output Mode” is a feature that allows users to control the AI’s responses more precisely and freely by directly editing the “system prompt.”
The system prompt is where the basic instructions and role settings for the AI are described. By customizing this prompt, you can address a wide variety of needs, such as:
- Generating text in a specific style or tone
- Specifying definitions and usage of technical terms
- Outputting in a particular format (e.g., bullet points, dialogue)
- Generating text tailored to unique requirements for research or creative projects
With this new feature, researchers can generate specialized text data that aligns with their research objectives, and creators can enjoy a more personalized dialogue with the AI as a creative assistant.
How to Use
On the Antiqua and Aozora application screens, simply select “Custom” from the output mode options. You can then freely edit the system prompt that appears in the text area and experiment with text generation.
The Humanitext project will continue to strive for ongoing service improvement and feature expansion to support your research and creative activities.
We invite you to take this opportunity to try out the newly updated Antiqua and Aozora.
