Poster Slide at International Symposium on Buddhist Studies and Digital Humanities

We are pleased to announce that the Humanitext Project will be presenting a poster at the “International Symposium on Buddhist Studies and Digital Humanities: Significance of Humanities in the DX-AI Era and the Construction of Research Infrastructure,” to be held at the Tokyo International Forum on December 20-21, 2025.

This international symposium brings together researchers from Japan and abroad to discuss new possibilities for humanities and the construction of research infrastructure in the age of Digital Transformation (DX) and AI.

We will be presenting our research achievements and future prospects as part of the Center for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences (DHSS), Nagoya University, during the “Digital Humanities Section” on the second day.

Presentation Overview

“Bringing Reliable Knowledge of Classical Antiquity to the Present with AI”

The Humanitext Project is developing dialogue systems and analysis tools utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) based on highly reliable text data from Western Classics. Specifically, we are addressing the issue of information reliability (hallucination) in generative AI by constructing RAG systems that realize “citation-backed answers” academically guaranteed. We are also working on the development of “Humanitext Antiqua,” an AI specialized in Western Classics.

On the day of the event, Project Leader Naoya Iwata (Associate Professor, Nagoya University) and team members will explain our technical approaches and potential applications to modern social issues, such as legal information provision systems, through poster displays and demonstrations.
